I believe our bodies are beautiful blessings, gifts which should be celebrated, not be hidden ~ compulsory clothing is the highest form of self hatred. Clothing should only serve its intended functions, to protect from the elements when needed and as an accessory on occasion. Nudity ~ skyclad ~ should be the status quo.
I am currently a student at San Francisco State University working towards my MA in LGBTQ History.
. . . and Walt Whitman's Birthday. "I proceed for all who are or have been young men, To tell the secret my nights and days, To celebrate the need of comrades."
Hi Woody! It's Marguerite (Margy) from WestCoastWoo - I'm the woman who chatted with you briefly on 18th street a couple of weeks back, just outside the post office. You were kind enough to seek out and comment on my blog. Sorry we didn't run into each other again! Just wanted to say I've enjoyed reading your blog - it's made me think about an issue I've never given much, if any, thought before. You are very articulate. You make a compelling caes, and I admire your bravery in the face of I'm sure daily hassles.
I'm back home in Maine now and miss Castro and SF a lot. I had two weeks - which was amazing - and was sorry to leave. You live in an amazing place.
I hope you don't mind that I'm following along with your blog - I assume I'm the only female - and straight, at that! Anyway, hope that's okay.
Best of luck with your studies and enjoy your town!
